“I wish I was that lucky,” is a phrase that I often hear from others, and you may have heard it as well! What this statement is referring to is good health. Many people tend to believe that others are healthy because they have “good luck.” Now there are some factors that predispose people to certain conditions, but that’s not what we are talking about here.
Do you know someone who always seems to be sick with a cold or gets the flu every year? Those are the people who often make the statement about others being lucky about their health. This statement may seem to be true, but when it comes down to it, a person’s health, or lack thereof, does not depend on luck.
So what differentiates people when it comes to their health? The part of the human body that determines someone’s state of health is the nervous system, which happens to be the exact thing we focus on at The Specific Chiropractic Center! If the nervous system is not functioning at its highest potential, the immune system will not function at its highest potential either, which puts a person at greater risk of becoming sick. Many of our patients at The Specific explain that they notice they do not become sick as often as they did prior to receiving Chiropractic care. Also, when they do come down with something, they notice it lasts for a much shorter time period than when they were not under care.
So, the next time you hear someone utter the phrase, “I wish I was that lucky!” remember that health is not based on luck, but rather that person’s decision about his or her healthcare. If you or someone you know needs to have their nervous system checked, or could benefit from more information, be sure to contact the nearest Specific Chiropractic Center.
