Pay It Forward: Tell a Friend about Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care

People who visit The Specific Chiropractic Center for the first time are often referred to us by word of mouth. It’s not uncommon to hear people say that their parent/sibling/friend/co-worker said that upper cervical chiropractic care changed their life and when the patient was suffering from headaches/backaches/numbness/sleeplessness/some other condition, they were directed to visit The Specific Chiropractic Center to address the ailment.

Because it has the word “chiropractic” in it (which makes sense, as it does deal with the back and spine), upper cervical chiropractic care is usually just lumped in with general chiropractic care. I’m talking about the experience of having one’s spine jerked, snapped, cracked and otherwise twisted in a way that provides temporary pain relief but does not necessarily help the body permanently heal itself.

Upper cervical healthcare is about whole body wellness. More than 100 health problems—from headaches and neck pain to chronic infections, allergies and learning disabilities—have responded to this painless, non-invasive approach to healthcare. Nonetheless, the vast majority of the general public has not even heard of upper cervical chiropractic care. Imagine how many fewer people would be in pain if all they knew they needed was a simple, pain-free correction!

This form of healthcare is not a “cure” for anything, but rather a way for the human body to naturally correct and heal the things that are wrong with it. Standard health care often addresses medical problems by finding ways to fix the symptoms such as through medicine or surgical procedures. With upper cervical chiropractic care, we allow the brain’s messages to accurately and completely reach all parts of the body, thus allowing the body to address and correct its problems naturally.

Through my work at The Specific Chiropractic Center, I’ve seen patients walk upright who have never done so before. I’ve heard people who have been in chronic pain their whole lives say that now, without pain, they finally understand what it feels like to live. People have told me I’ve given them a second chance at fully enjoying life; what I’ve actually given them is a small adjustment that allows their body to support and provide that full life.

I’ve seen lives change because of upper cervical chiropractic care, and I know that countless other people could utilize its benefits … if they knew about it. If upper cervical healthcare has benefited you, I encourage you to tell three other people you know about it over the course of the next year. Unlike pharmaceutical companies, upper cervical chiropractors don’t have huge public relations budgets or marketing campaigns, and, as a result, we tend to slip back into the shadows.
