“I suffered from Sleep Apnea for 8-10 years. I heard about Sleep Apnea from my family who would tell me that when I slept, I would stop breathing and then gasp for air as if I had been suffocating. This gasping was an ongoing occurrence every 3-4 minutes when I was asleep. This caused me to be very tired during my ‘awake’ hours. “From 1992 to 2005 I was in a series of around 11 auto accidents which compounded my leg, back, sciatic and neck problems. Around 1995 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. By October 2004 I had been reduced to no stairs, no swimming, no walking farther than 20 feet. If I had to do anything it was most always with the help of a wheel-chair. “I had allergies to nuts, peanut butter, and cats. By the age of 7 I had to be on allergy medications year-around and use an inhaler quite frequently. We were just getting ready to begin a 5 year treatment with allergy shots and thought we would try upper cervical chiropractic first. So glad we did! Before Specific Chiropractic Care I couldn’t go to peoples’ houses who had cats because of my cat allergies. I had to use medication daily which was frustrating. I had to use my asthma inhaler before any running program at school and could not run distances.”
