Cailen Wells , D.C.

Sixteen years ago, something happened to this girl that changed her life forever. She had no idea at the time that she would, in fact, change others’ lives sixteen years later! That girl is me. I went from orphan to doctor, business owner, and coach! I’m Dr. Cailen Wells, aka TheXFitDoc

I was 16 when my mother was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She was told she had six months to live. She ended up receiving Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care, and lived 2 1/2 years after her diagnosis. Most pancreatic cancer patients won’t survive more than three months post-diagnosis. She is the reason I am so passionate about what I do. She is the reason for my story.

Life can be a full circle, because now people who come to see me sometimes say I am their last resort. They have tried everything and nothing has worked for them. They come to me with headaches, fibromyalgia, MS, allergies, depression, and cancer. I see people who have not responded to traditional chiropractic care or medical care. What I do is perform an upper cervical adjustment. It is gentle; there is no forceful pulling, twisting, or jerking motion of your neck. I use Infrared Thermography to know how long your adjustments are holding, and the care isn’t based on adjusting the person every time they come in to the office.

I have also studied the effects of stress on the body, and I have come to see that sometimes our capacity for self-healing and growth may be overwhelmed by the stresses of life. Stress comes in many forms: physical forces, mental and emotional strain, anxiety, trauma, and/or abuse and chemical toxicity. We live in a world that is in a constant search for the next pill, lotion, or potion that will give us the cure or to be the fountain of youth. The body is a self-healing organism – we heal from the inside-out, but live in a world that focuses on an outside-in approach.

My mother’s story taught me firsthand at a very young age to stand for something you believe in and never give up the fight to deliver your message. She taught me that, “You never know how far-reaching something you think, say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.” People often tell me I inspire them, when really it’s my patients who inspire me. Patients may come to me with initial aches and pains, but what they don’t realize is that the nerve system controls all parts of the body, and it’s important that it functions at 100%.

Cancer, diabetes, and heart disease are silent killers – there are no symptoms until the very end.  Maximizing the health of the nervous system can optimize a positive outcome for such diseases, as well as issues resulting from trauma and major surgery. I know there are other people in this community that have similar stories, and it’s important that they understand the bigger picture of what my expertise is, so they to can have a life free from interference. I am so excited to see the next chapter for my patients, whom I am truly meant to serve with my life’s work.
